changes to my work schedule

Next week I will be working 2nd shift. My boss told me that I need to be trained on all shifts during my 30-day probationary period. One side benefit of the change is that I won't be exhausted when I take Lisa to her appointment with the doctor on Thursday.

The job is going well. I have a list of tasks to complete each night, and they keep me busy for most of the eight hours that I spend at work. And now that I'm getting the hang of the job, I really appreciate the time when I'm alone in the store.

I think that this kind of work is good for me on an emotional level. It forces me to interact with a lot of people. Left to my own devices, I tend to avoid people.
