Curiosity lands on Mars

The latest NASA rover to land on Mars, Curiosity, touched down tonight. I tried to watch NASA's live feed, but since the video was in HD (apparently no "low definition" version was available), it was frustrating and anti-climactic. You see, we have a satellite Internet connection and it isn't particularly fast.  Hell, I download YouTube videos before watching them so that I can view them without having to wait for the video to buffer repeatedly. HD broadcasts are out of the question.

The live feed hung many times, often for minutes at a stretch, and I completely missed the actual landing. Sure, there will be plenty of opportunities to watch (downloaded) videos later. But I really wanted to watch it live.
