preparing for the time shift

I start at the store tomorrow night, working from 11 P.M. to 7 A.M. In preparation, I slept in late today and will probably take a nap this afternoon so I can stay up extra late tonight.

Of course I am nervous. I've never worked behind the counter at a store before. But as Lisa said, it's not like they're expecting a brainiac for a highly technical job.

One piece of especially good news is, I'll get my first paycheck next week. And with my new income, I'll be able to get my driver's license and license plate changed over to North Carolina by the time the car registration is due near the end of August. Plus I'll be able to afford to change the oil and filters in the car.
