Merry Christmas to all

Here we are. Another year gone, another Christmas holiday, another Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and Solstice.

Things around our place are quite different this year. For one thing, we're in a new place; Lisa's old stomping grounds. Her friends and family are here. In fact, with her sister returned from Germany and her daughter returned from Texas, this is the biggest family get-together in many years.

Everybody is poor, so there won't be many gifts. The kids will be getting some, of course, but sadly none from us.

Lisa is giving her brother-in-law Herbert a rock. That's a good thing; he is an artist, working mostly in scrap metal, but has a project in mind using rocks. Since he lives in Florida, this visit to the mountains is important to his project; there aren't any rocks in Florida.

He took a shine to one of our rocks when he came to the house earlier this week. Lisa decided that it would be a fun Christmas present.

I have to go get that rock now and put it in a box. Fun.
