the final stages?

We're getting ready for our initial journey to the new house. On this first trip, we're just taking what we can fit in the car; I have to come back for an appointment in the middle of the month and we'll be packing up a van and a trailer then. By January I'll have a hitch mounted on my car and we will rent a small trailer to take the last of our stuff.

Today we had to fax some paperwork to the landlord for a background check. Back in September we invested in an HP wireless all-in-one fax/scanner/printer. It is amazing to me that such a feature-rich and well-performing machine is available for about $100. Ours was on sale for something like $89. No more driving to a UPS Store to fax timesheets after work!

The printer's accompanying software package has provided a satisfying experience as well. But I digress.

We sent off the paperwork and don't expect any problems. Tomorrow we hit the road and will stay overnight at a Super 8 motel somewhere in Georgia so we can arrive in Cruso in the mid-afternoon.

Back to work packing.
