oh no, not again

Once again I have managed to miss a birthday, this one being my father's. And of course I'm blogging this before I even call. Geez.

I feel almost like I have an excuse, not being online and being generally disconnected from the outside world, but really it is because I've been so busy and distracted. And today my sinuses have been acting up. Cold weather affects my body more than my mood; I prefer this weather to anything we get in Florida. There was a heavy frost this morning and yesterday we saw rime ice covering all the trees at the peak of a mountain near Walmart. The peak was also wrapped in clouds and it appeared to be snowing up there. We stopped at the farm store yesterday and I got a decent pair of gloves and Lisa got some warm boots to wear instead her Birkenstocks. Last time we were here we went to the military surplus store and got some MIL-SPEC wool watch caps. Lisa finds them to be a bit heavy, but I love mine. Helps me stay warm when I'm playing outside with the dog.
