bachelor mode

I've gone into full bachelor mode in the nearly two months since I lost Lisa. Sinks full of pots and pans, dog on the bed whenever he wants, things in piles instead of properly put away.

But then I've long been a member of The Society for Putting Things On Top of Other Things. I suppose that includes having a dog on the bed.

He's still not allowed on the couch. There's usually a pile of something there anyway. Right now it's a clipboard with a pad of paper, a spindle of blank DVD's, a pen, a straight-edge, a pack of Pall Malls, a lighter and a can of Copenhagen.
