The other day I posted a quote from Ann Romney that makes her sound like an anti-feminist.
That is essentially true, but what it really sounds like is that she is a fully-indoctrinated woman of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Lisa spent a number of years, along with her husband and children, as a member of the LDS church. When I told her what Ann Romney said, she agreed that Ann is parroting the Church's line.
One of the reasons that Lisa left the LDS church was that they do not allow women to hold priesthoods (while all married men are automatically priests). She asked "troubling" questions in their adult study classes, and was told that no woman could ever be a Prophet in the LDS sense.
Mormon women are supposed to be entirely submissive to their husbands in all matters. It sounds like Ann Romney has that part of her faith down pat.

Although I try to remain neutral when it comes to religion, there are several things about the LDS that make having one as president make me uneasy. If treating women as livestock is church policy that just puts that at the top of the list.
