will it shut all the nuts up?

Of course not. But President Obama has released his long-from birth certificate.

Sort of takes the wind out of Trump's sails, but that won't stop him either. (By the way, where was Trump born?)

Speaking of which, February's "Palin-free" campaign was relatively successful in sidelining that harpy. Since then, I have decided not to read stories about Palin, Glenn Beck or Donald Trump. None of them are serious in any sense of the word and are not worth my time.

  1. As a 'mere foreigner' I find this whole discussion topic bizarre and a sad commentary on what passes for US internal politics.

I don't recall any previous President (at least in modern times) being required to go to such lengths to prove to prove something so basic as nationality - of course their has never so far been a non-Caucasian President. This whole debate really seems to be a cover for some people's obsession that non-white Americans aren't really 'proper' Americans, specially if they happen to have a name that has Islamic origins as a component. In the minds of some it would seem that even today some Americans are considered to be more American than others.

I'd have thought that there are more important matters for what is effectively a bankrupt country to deal with; if it weren't for the US Dollar's continuing (but reducing) importance in international commerce this would certainly not be something that could continue mostly to be brushed under the carpet.
