On Monday, my dad goes in for hip resurfacing. The hip has been bothering him for some 20 years now, and doctors have been - until now - at a loss to help, beyond pain management. No permanent relief was found until now.

Needless to say, I am excited about this ray of sunshine.

Meanwhile, Lisa just completed treatment for MRSA and I am taking Cipro for an abscessed tooth, so we're both feeling crappy. After sleeping well for most of the week, we both had a rough night on Friday. I was up until 3:30 AM; that's when Lisa got up. She didn't come back to bed until after 8 AM. She was up long enough to feed and walk Rocko before crashing, so he was OK when I got up at 11 AM.

Oh well. It's Saturday. We can rest.
