gratitude

After a futile search (that included a call to Verizon, which owns the box) for an adapter to connect our disparate electronics, Lisa asked her son if we could borrow his TV. He told her that we can have it.

This unit is smaller than the dead one, but is only five years old, with a flat-screen CRT. Much crisper picture than the old one, making size less of an issue. I had to run the DVR output to the TV's auxiliary input on the front, but it works.

Lisa really needs a TV in the bedroom, because some days she just can't get up. We call them "bed days," and she is getting better about restricting them to weekends. During the week, she has been busy with phone calls.

Of course, we each need our "alone time;" this is easier with a phone, clock radio and television in the bedroom. The portability of laptop computers helps as well.
