doctor day for Lisa

It is time for Lisa's monthly visit to her doctor and she is pissed off. She called him last week after experiencing a fall and he told her to take extra meds, saying that he would call in a prescription to cover it. He apparently never did. She has talked about firing him and finding another doc, but he really has been a good physician to her.

Still don't know if we'll be keeping our electricity. It is too late in the month to get assistance, but with luck they will allow us to defer payment until the 3rd. We should have a little cash by the first of the month, but they want at least $125 by the 28th. Lisa can't even afford to buy all of her meds. At least the most important ones are fairly cheap.

It is pretty much a foregone conclusion that we will lose the phone, internet and cable by the end of the week. We are too far behind to catch up. Lisa picks on me for panicking about the electricity, but it is going to get mighty hot in here come next weekend.

Oh well. She's on the road; I am off to dry a load of laundry and fix a Birkenstock sandal.
