Over the past two days I have been talking to a recruiter regarding a PCB design job in the Midwest. Finally, a few minutes ago, he told me that his account manager requires more recent design experience for this position.

I expected as much; a there is a five-year gap since my last design job.

Nevertheless I remain hopeful. Receiving calls from recruiters is the first step. I have rarely attained a job on the first attempt. This is the second in this round; another company contacted my about a job nearer to home a few months ago.
