The conditions are similar here. It rained for about an hour yesterday, but now the sun is shining.

Over the weekend I received a package from my Dad and Velma. Inside was a birthday card and a beautiful t-shirt with a flaming guitar pick on the front and a lightning-and-flame-emitting Les Paul guitar on the back.

We've had a houseguest for the past couple of nights. Our former neighbor Joanne needed to get away from her sister's house for a while; it is sad when family members do not get along. Joanne's house is in foreclosure and her sister invited her to move in. After only three weeks, she is ready to get out of there. I could go on, but that's her business and I have probably said too much already.

OK, now I need to call Dad and Velma to thank them for the birthday gift and let them know that the weather is fine here. Lisa and I wish we could be in Maggie Valley, NC with them, though.
