water and computers do not mix

Early yesterday morning I knocked over a glass that had a little bit of water in it. Sadly, my laptop was sitting beside the glass. The computer was turned off at the time, but didn't want to boot completely the first couple of tries, but after that it wouldn't come on at all.

I found a few websites describing how to dry the machine - and I had already tried most of them - but I finally decided to leave it mostly disassembled overnight.
