Good things, both personal and national

Tomorrow I leave for a much-needed vacation. I will be visiting my parents, whom I haven't seen in at least a year and a half.

Nationally, freedom is in the air! The Democrats have control of the House of Representatives (the Senate is still undecided, but the Dems need only one more seat for a majority) and the long-awaited and far overdue departure of Don "Rummy" Rumsfeld has finally materialized.

Some might think that Rummy's abdication had nothing to do with the Democrat Revolution; I think the two are intimately related.
