a simple prayer
"Please, Lord, let the American public retain their memories of the entire G.W. Bush Presidency."
I hear that Dubya is trying to revive the "Compassionate Conservative" label. This is why I started this article with a short prayer.
If the general (voting) population is able to recall how incompassionate this administration has been, then his plaintive bleatings will be for nought.
Sadly I fear the notoriously and increasingly short memory of the American Public will fail us; they will forget that the bad times started within months of the G.W. Bush ascendancy; that they will forget the "jobless recovery," which has well over 2 million recorded job losses; that they will forget the rampant give-aways to major corporations and industries. I fear they will fall victim to the Orwellian commercials run by the Bush campaign, and forget the past.
King George must be unseated. There is no other option.
The Mayan calendar lists Dec. 23, 2012 as the end of the world. I fervently believe that if it happens at that time, a Republican from the United States will be the cause.
I'll only be 50 on that day. I kinda hoped to live to be in my 80's or 90's, like the rest of my family. Oh well ... I may not even be around to see that date in 2012. My kids sure will get short-changed if it all ends then, though. They'll be 26 and 25 years old, respectively.
