a child of the space age turns 41
background entertainment: "Failure Is Not An Option," The History Channel
Happy Birthday to Me! 41 years today. A true child of the space age; John Glenn made his tri-orbital flight on February 20, 1962, the same year I was born, and when I was in elementary school they used to wheel a television into our classroom so we could watch the moon landings.
I even had a 3-foot tall model of the Saturn V rocket, complete with detachable Command Module and removable Lunar Module.
Then tonight, apparently in honor of my birthday, the History Channel is presenting a couple of shows about spaceflight. Thank you, History Channel!
