ten days, no blog?

It's true, I haven't blogged for ten days. I tried to connect from my motel room in Altamonte Springs (in the outskirts of Babylon ... er, I mean Orlando) last week, but couldn't get the dang phone to work. More on the Orlando Experience in a later blog entry.
Ol' Crazy Legs Rumsfeld insists that we, the United Nukes of America, have always kept our options open and thus there is no inconsistency in the idea that we might use nuclear weapons in response to biological or chemical weapons. I suppose it's not unreasonable to expect such nonsense from a man who has no military experience whatsoever - he has never served in any branch of the service - but I've never served in the military either, and I know that it this is a false statement.
Speaking of false statements, our Chimp in Chief has said that he has "been to war." When, sir? Was it when you were in the National Guard and were hired by a private firm to transport plants between states in your military fighter jet? That doesn't sound like war, but it does sound vaguely illegal. Was it when you were allowed leave from the National Guard to work on political campaigns? Political campaigns are not miitary campaigns. I realize you have difficulty with our language, but the two are not equivalent in meaning.
Perhaps it was while you were AWOL from your transfer from the Texas National Guard to the Alabama National Guard? Did you, say, jump onto a troop transport by mistake and end up in Vietnam instead of Alabama? That would certainly explain why neither your commanding officer nor anybody else in Alabama can recall you ever showing up for National Guard duty ever again.
Ah, yes ... the morality and honesty of this administration is simply indescribable.
