When we were at the hospital for Lisa's endoscopy, I apparently published my 1,500th blog entry. My first entry was on November 15, 2002, 3456 days ago, giving an average of one post every 2.3 days. (How did I figure that out? Check out the Date Difference Calculator)

The original name of this blog was "News From the Throne" (changed rather quickly to "Council of Lemurs" because I learned that New From the Throne had strong Christian connotations).

I ended that first post with a quote from a demotivational poster that I owned:

"Thought for the day: The downside of being better than everyone else is that people tend to think you're pretentious."
