we made it through another March

Here it is, end of month again. We survived. March and August always seem to give me trouble. But we got a lot of good food from a local Christian ministry yesterday, and today I received a letter from Social Services stating that my food stamp allowance will be increased by $62 since I am feeding two people. That's a good thing.

The food from the ministry was abundant and various. A bunch of canned green beans and corn, of course, but also fresh asparagus, tomatoes and potatoes, bread and rolls, butter and eggs, flour and corn meal, and a nice variety of snacks.

Things are looking up.
