beautiful weather ... for now

Yes, it is warm and wonderful. I awoke to temperatures in the low 60's, and it quickly reached 70F.

I'm wearing shorts for now (for the first time in quite a while), but the temps are supposed to drop precipitously and fall below freezing overnight.

The local birds are enjoying the day, too, flitting about and singing joyously. They are still the winter holdouts, though - chickadees and cardinals - rather than springtime fauna. The daffodils get stronger every day and we have a couple of vases around the house holding freshly cut blooms.

Lisa is still over at Marina's place on Rattlesnake Mountain in the Qualla Boundary. She has enough of her meds with her to stay away from home until about 5 PM; she'll probably call before heading home. I hope she does.
