Arrival

When we arrived in Haywood County yesterday, we didn't bother with stopping in to see Lisa's mom; we came straight to our new house.

The property owner wasn't going to arrive for another hour or more, so we decided to just hang out and wait. Going to her mom's house would have been a 20-minute ride each way so we wouldn't really have much time to talk with her before coming back.

Our friend Teresa showed up just a few minutes after we got there; with the leaves gone from the trees, her house is visible from the north deck.

The Verizon wireless internet works well here but our Tracfones have no signal whatsoever. Too many hills and mountains. They work fine at Teresa's, though, and most everywhere else, but the saying around here is "they have to pipe in the sunshine to Cruso" because of the terrain. That seems to apply to cell service too, although Verizon does have a strong signal here.

Errands, errands, errands. I need to do a lot of running around today but Lisa's worn out from the past week of preparing for and making the trip up here. I hate to leave her alone in this condition.
