chilly

Our weather changed overnight from mid-70's to low 50's, and the warming sun has given way to clouds and, yesterday, plenty of rain. The pain in my shoulder disappeared rather suddenly yesterday; subtly, too. I didn't notice the pain was gone until some time later. I was happy.

A few days ago we took a drive up on the Blue Ridge Parkway and while coming down into Waynesville from the south saw snow clinging to existence in the grass under the trees. Last week we were sure that we saw it snowing up there as we left Wal-Mart. Looks like we were right!

Ah, well. This visit to God's Country is almost at an end. We have to be back for an appointment next Friday and would like to rest from the journey for a day or two before that. And I have been called once about a job, plus my company has me filling out security-check paperwork for a multi-year support contract at a large insurance firm. They probably have lots and lots of computers and associated equipment for me to fix or swap out.

Lisa's sister and brother-in-law will be arriving from Germany one week from today. After taking some time to get set up in their new house in Florida, she'll be heading up to NC to care for her mother. Lisa may return with her, but we'll probably both stay home for a month. I need to work and we both need a break.
