Last night at work, a customer of mine was bemoaning big-box stores being open on Thanksgiving as well as Christmas decorations that were put up before Thanksgiving. I noticed the same thing on the way into work; the night before Thanksgiving, and there were Christmas lights on many houses already.

My workplace is open on holidays, but we sell gasoline and incidental items. People travel to the homes of friends and family on the holidays, so we need to be open - and I can use the money.
