Yahoo! taps Google exec Marissa Mayer as new chief [From Marketplace.org]
I still use Yahoo! mail. I have a Gmail account but rarely use it.
When I log out of Yahoo! Mail, I'm presented with their version of a news aggregator site. Recently they (Yahoo!) seem to be relying more and more upon independent, unpaid authors and bloggers rather than real reporters or simple unadorned news aggregation. The result is a significant shift to the political Right - think Fox - in terms of both headlines and article content.
It would be nice if Marissa Mayer could reverse this trend. I don't usually bother with Yahoo! News anymore.
