My cousin Megan Ruiz was contacted recently by a previously unknown cousin, one Chris Burton. He lives in Wakefield, England. He has provided some vital information regarding my father's maternal family line.
Megan reminded me that Canadian artist Robert Genn is my father's first cousin, and informed me that Robert's son is musician Dave Genn of the band 54-40.
When I left Tallahassee, most of my possessions were left behind and subsequently discarded - including the CD on which I had saved much of my genealogical data and several related books. One of these days I'll get back in the research saddle and try to reconstruct my work. Luckily I uploaded some of it to Rootsweb.
