busy weekend

There was a surprising jump in our water consumption a couple of days ago. I check the meters every morning, so I noticed it right away.

After checking every faucet inside and outside of the house, I tracked the leak to our master bathroom's toilet. I replaced the float valve, but then it started leaking at the junction between the old feeder line and the new valve assembly. At that point I just shut the valve off and gave up for the evening. I replaced the old feeder with a new flexible one this morning and the problem was solved.

And yesterday I had to drive out to the Hyundai dealer in Wesley Chapel to get another temporary tag for my car. Through some kind of mixup, my permanent tag was never sent and my first temporary tag expired yesterday.

Our plans for North Carolina remain in flux. The only thing we know for sure is that we are going up there for at least a few days. Maybe a lot longer.
