I was able to complete the computer swap-out job today. It took a couple of hours, but most of that time was spent waiting for the PC to load up software from the network. Done and done. My check should be here next week.

Still haven't been paid for the telemarketing disaster. The check should have been available a week and a half ago; when I went to pick it up they claimed that it had been mailed to me, but it hasn't arrived yet. Looks like I need to go back and see if they have it. Considering the shady nature of the company, it wouldn't surprise me if they give me the shaft.

Let's see: a check for $25 for a couple of nights of telemarketing vs. $100+ for six hours of PC repair. I'm far happier working on computers and, despite the sporadic nature of contract work, it's the right job for me.
