new lenses (and frames with which to hold them)

Picked up the new Lion's Club glasses today and drove home with them on. What a revelation! I could read every street sign. It was distracting at first because all the clearly legible signs begged for my attention. Now that I'm home, I can read the crawl along the bottom of the TV screen without walking halfway to the set and squinting.

What a joy to look up into the night sky and see only one moon, and a sharply defined one at that!

I can't wear them when reading or doing close work, but I need them for driving and watching TV. Seriously. Forget HDTV; an old console CRT and a new pair of glasses is all I needed.

I look naked because I'm not willing to pay for AC cold enough to require clothing.
