You see, I have empathy for the folks we call. That is apparently verboten. When I mentioned that if someone called me using their sales techniques, I'd hang up on them, they brushed it off.

According to the pushy-pushy-pushy telemarketers I've been training with: "people who claim that they can't afford to donate to the state trooper's charity are LYING!" I pointed out that more than one in ten Floridians doesn't even have a job; that idea was brushed off as well.

No, they tell me to assume that everybody - everybody - can afford to give money to an organization that (per our "fact sheet") only gets $1 out of every $5 donated. A full 80% of every donation goes to overhead! What a deal!

I know that I will certainly not be personally donating any money to that group. Once they let me go I'll spill the beans on who exactly we are talking about. Maybe.
