Mubarak has stepped down and has left the country in the hands of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces until a new government can be formed. I am happy for the Egyptians and optimistic for their future.
It is fitting that one of the most ancient extant civilizations should secure the blessings of Liberty, just as we in America did a little over two centuries ago (a tiny fraction of the greater story of humanity).
