uh-oh

Time is short! According to some Christians, the Rapture will occur on May 21, 2011. They base this on one man's interpretation of the Bible, ever though "the Rapture" is never, ever mentioned in the Bible. Nowhere.

Sounds like the 21st century equivalent of the Seventh-day Adventists.

    That reminds me of a bunch of nuts that worked at IBM in Raleigh. In 1988 this small religious group knew for a fact that the rapture was going to happen on a certain day, so they all called in sick, not wanting to be caught at work when it happened. When it didn't happen a friend of mine asked one of them why they didn't just take a vacation day instead of lying about being sick. The answer was "I didn't want to waste a vacation day". Now there's a case of faith for you.
