Lisa's recovery is coming along slowly. During the first few days after surgery, she was feeling surprisingly well. Then things began to go downhill, with increased pain.

I have to keep a close eye on her medications. She is taking a lot of pain meds since the operation. Sometimes she forgets that she has already taken them and asks for more.

Today was the first visit from the home health aide, coming to check Lisa's vital statistics and examine her leg. She assured Lisa that her leg looks normal for this stage of recovery

And also today, I received a notice from New York State telling me that they have reinstated my driving privileges and have no objection to any other state issuing me a license. At last!
