Lisa's court date went well today. She will be receiving $30 less per month until the alimony overpayment is covered, but the money will be coming through the SDU.
Her ex-husband is so adamantly against paying through the SDU that, when the magistrate stated that he must do so, he cried out "Well, I just won't pay at all then!"
He made that outburst in court. To the judge. His lawyer frantically nudged him and told him "we'll talk about this afterward!" They plan to appeal, and we plan to get a few more chuckles along the way.
Frank's doctor fired him this morning, beating him to the punch. He was going to fire her. A complaint had already been filed over her decision to discontinue a critical treatment regimen. Her rationale was ... none of your damn business. I shouldn't have brought it up. It just bothers me when overworked doctors make bad decisions based on faulty preconceptions and poorly planned tests. I have only heard one side of the story; nevertheless we have all heard of or experienced medical horror stories. My tendency is to side with the patient in most cases.
