Last night, at about 8 PM, our doorbell rang. It was a former neighbor who had been living with her daughter in Alabama.

The daughter's husband is a noted scumbag. Repeated conflicts drove Joann out of the house and she drove non-stop to our place; she had nowhere else to go. We will be allowing her to stay for a while, until she can can get a place of her own. Her dog, a female pit bull, is here too. Jack is not comfortable with that but the dog is so sweet that I believe it will be OK.

On Monday last I called Frank to ask for the night off. Lisa was so exhausted that I couldn't leave her alone. This week I told him ahead of time that I wanted Sunday night off so I could catch up on some chores and spend a night with my lady. He understood completely.

I have managed to get my schedule pretty much settled and my sleep has improved. As long as I take my night meds I get good sleep at Frank's place.
