playing around

Despite the pressing need to run a few errands, I've been playing with bringing my blog template into Modern Times.

I gave it a good try, but quickly realized that this could take a lot more work than I had bargained for.

XML vs. the old HTML formatting, for example. Updating the basic template is easy enough, but there are a lot of little details that need to be dealt with. My enormous link list, the gadgets at the bottom, etc.

I suppose I should hit the road first. After that, I'll spend the necessary time to bring the overall appearance up-to-date.
