cutoff imminent

It looks like we will probably be losing our television and Internet access this coming Monday, December 8. Verizon says that our bill is very overdue and if we don't pay $388.24 before that date, our TV and Internet will very likely be cut off. The minimum amount due is $188.24, but they cannot guarantee that paying even that amount will preserve our services.

I called them this morning to remove some services, such as a movie channel that we never watch, but was unable to get them to agree to any kind of payment arrangements.

We also have an overdue water bill, but we may be able to get assistance with that through charitable organizations.
