banning minority party members?

Some Republican poll workers were asked to leave polling precincts in Philadelphia because they did not belong to the local majority party.

I personally believe this to be wrong, even though I am a registered Democrat, but it is nothing new. When I was a child, my parents wanted to act as poll workers in a Republican town but were turned down because they were registered Democrats.

So, don't blame the Democratic Party for this; it has been an unfortunate reality on both sides for a long time.
