Lisa and I are feeling much better today. She got refills on some of her meds over the weekend and is doing well.
We had to contact Verizon to resolve a worm problem on Lisa's machine. She had the W32/GetCodec.a worm, and Verizon's security suite hadn't caught it.
The technical support people were absolutely amazing. Knowledgable, capable, friendly and prompt in their call-backs.
It took three days in all to completely clean the machine; they ran a number of different software packages (all available for free) after reinstalling and rerunning their own proprietary software.
Since they finished yesterday, we haven't had a single malicious popup or any other suspicious activity.
