sun, but no surf

We spent yesterday afternoon by a small beach near the Anclote River, where it enters the Gulf of Mexico. There is an observation tower that you reach by walking through the woods. It was a beautiful day and the temperature was nice and cool at the top of the tower. I ended up with a slight burn, but not too bad since I already had some color.

After that we went back to her house. We talked and listened to music for several hours. She showed me her bat-leth (Klingon sword), which was made for her years ago when she used to attend Star Trek conventions.

We have so much in common, it sort of scares both of us.
