scampi ...

... is delicious, except for the shrimp

Dad made his famous shrimp scampi for supper tonight. I don't eat seafood (not anything that lives underwater, in fact) but do like to try various dishes just so I can be certain that I don't like them.

With the exception of the shrimp themselves, the scampi was very good. I only took two shrimp and left half of one of them behind. I ate everything else.

Today is Memorial Day (observed). In Waterloo, NY it won't be officially celebrated until May 30.

Waterloo is the official home of Memorial Day, and this year I am celebrating it only 25 miles away.

My children, Anna and Isaac, attended their first several years of elementary school at Skoi-Yase school in Waterloo.
