homeless? no!

I'm just a backpacking enthusiast!

It dawned on me the other day that I would feel better about my current situation if I changed the word I use to describe my living situation. Therefore, I am no longer "homeless". Rather, I am a backpacking enthusiast. And backpacking is so important to me that I do it every day after work.

Hey, it makes me feel better.

I have also been considering the possibility of hiking the Appalachian Trail at some time in the future. Each day after work I already walk something like ten miles with a pack on my back, and I sleep where I can. It does not seem unreasonable to me that I could walk the Trail without extreme difficulty (financial considerations aside).

News flash: I trimmed my beard yesterday. The heat is getting to be too much for me with the extra facial insulation. This weekend (payday!) I will get a haircut as well: "set the clippers on #2 and take it all off".

The goatee will remain, of course. There are a couple of nasty blue scars on my chin that I find very unattractive.

  1. Would very much like to see a photo of the new image posted on your blog...with the backpack. Your "backpacking enthusiast" mindset is very positive. Bravo!

  2. I stumbled across your blog. I can't seem to find your archives - or did you just start? Anyways This is for sure the most original blog I've seen thus far and I'm dying to know all the details of who in the world you are and why the heck your a street sleeping blogger.

I'm baffled AND entertained. Ok so maybe I'm a bastard for being entertained by your "backpacking enthusiast" antics but you ARE putting it out there. Great now I sound like a rationalizing bastard.

Oh well your bookmarked for sure.

    Have a good one!!!!
