yes, even I have things to be thankful for
This year I am thankful for:
1. My mother's continued survival despite recurrent cancer
2. My daughter's success in the United States Marine Corps
3. Friends who continually remind me that I am of some importance in this world
4. The fact that I still have a job
5. An invitation to Thanksgiving dinner at a co-worker's house
6. An offer to rake that co-worker's leaves for a little extra money
7. The chance to eat again today
8. The failure of my suicide attempt two years ago
9. My recent trip to my parents' house in Western NY
10. Another day on this Earth

You don't mention your son as much as your daughter. Are you not thanful for both of them? or have you just forgot about him unless it's about child support??
ReplyDeleteI think about my son all the time, but he never contacts me anymore. Not sure why, but it hurts. I send him emails occasionally but since he almost never responds, I have pretty much stopped.
ReplyDeleteI love my son and wish I could see him, but I don't even know his phone number or mailing address.
