same-sex classes
Should schools have same-sex classes?
I wonder. When I was in first and second grades - roughly 1969 and 1970 - I was in an all-male class (there was an all-female class as well). It was a brief experiment in our school district, Penfield N.Y. Another aspect of this experiment was that for two years running, the class members were exactly the same; most classes were different from year to year.
I also wonder how much that experiment contributed to my difficulty developing relationships with women. Could those two years, early in my psychological development, isolated from the opposite sex, have set me up for later problems?
