i'm back!
Sorry it's been so long since I posted, but I've been very busy.
I've been working full-time with a general contractor, mostly carpentry. Normally we only get the day off if it is raining (most of our work is outdoors), but occasionally - for example today - we get the day off if the boss is tired or ill.
Last Friday I attended a funeral for a 7-month old boy. He was the son of my roommate; he was born quite prematurely and had been under medical supervision for most of his short life.
On Saturday I received a letter from my mother. Her cancer has returned suddenly and thus she must return to New York State for medical treatment in Clifton Springs.
Earlier this month my daughter Anna graduated from Marine boot camp at Parris Island. She is now Private DeKing.

ReplyDeleteIf you like construction work, the gulf-front contractors are overwhelmed with the volume of repair needed post Hurricane Dennis in Franklin county...Alligator Point being the closest area to Tallahassee that needs help. It is nice being out-of-doors working near the beach.

ReplyDeleteif you want a good construction job, a guy came up to me when i was job searching and told me his name was joel small, and his number was 409-0091 i believe. the job pays 8 bucks an hour and its a ten hour day (either that or it was 10 and hour and 8 hour days...i cant remember). so the pay is really good. joel also told me that he would be glad to take people he works with to local shows and whatnot.
