ChristTown

Just good Godly folks, or a cult?

I just spent two "interesting" days at ChristTown, a "Christian Home for Men" in Quincy, FL. I was looking for a safe place to live and recover from my mental problems; what I found was basically a cult.

Their director, "Pastor" Bob Wells, essentially told me that I was possessed by the Devil and also implied that I didn't need antidepressants - just "a relationship with Jesus." He wouldn't provide transportation to my appointment today in Tallahassee, an appointment that was supposed to result in getting my medication; I had to walk most of the 20 miles. Fortunately for me, a good Samaritan pulled over and picked me up; he drove me the last 8 miles or so and gave me a dollar to boot.

God save us from Bible-thumping whack-jobs.

  1. You are right about this organization, run by a "former" drug dealer and cokehead. His new addiction is Christtown. He reigns supreme as "Pastor Bob". After hearing "God's voice" he invested $50,000 in AdSurfDaily the infamous scam that bilked thousands.
Hearing voices? Isn't that a sign of mental illness?
As for doing "God's work"...why did he quit helping women? Too many rehab romances according to this pretender...Surely the REAL God is not sexist?
Now which is it? A Church or a Business that doesn't have to pay taxes?
    WHAT A SCAM!
