Mary McGrory, 1918 - 2004

a valuable voice finally silenced

One of our finest liberal voices has passed. Mary McGrory died Wednesday, April 21 2004 at George Washington University Hospital.

She used to appear regularly in the Rochester, NY papers, the "Times Union" and the "Democrat & Chronicle." (The "Times" was later folded into the "Democrat" by their parent corporation, Gannett.)

I know that I'll miss her.
