drudge is grasping at straws again ...

Ol' Matt failed to succeed with the "intern" scam; now he's trying the "L" word

Matt Drudge reported today that John Kerry was reported by the "National Journal" to be the "most liberal" in Senate Roll Call votes, surpassing "such Democratic stalwarts as Ted Kennedy and Hillary Clinton."

First of all, if you look at the record, Senator Hillary Clinton is hardly a radical liberal activist. As a Senator she has had a relatively moderate record.

Second, even Edward Kennedy does not have an extreme record - unless you compare him to the likes of Tom DeLay in the House. Tom DeLay, who is as extreme as they come, but to the right. I suppose if you consider DeLay to be a moderate, then yes, Kennedy would appear to be an extremist.

If you want to see an extremist, look at Tom DeLay, Dick Armey (retired) and George W. Bush. Few if any Democratic extremists remain.
