the twisted logic of the bush lite administration

While the courts try to decide whether the Bush Lite administration's rollbacks on pollution controls are legal (so far, they are on hold - thanks to the courts), Ann Weeks, an attorney with the Clean Air Task Force (a Bush administration tool), said that "the (polluting) emissions are already in the air."

So, if the weakened rules are finally sent to the dust bin, future emissions will continue to violate the previous standards?

Forgive me if I don't understand that, but I did study logic in school. The Bush administration's apparatchiks apparently skipped logic so that they could focus on propaganda.

Propaganda is a shroud; logic is a lantern. Propaganda is a tool used to defeat logic by confusing the public so that they can no longer find the line between fallacy and fact. Cover the lantern with a shroud, and its light becomes far less useful.

This is the standard tool of the Bush Lite administration. "If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshit."

Goebbels would be proud.
